On the run from an asylum for the criminally insane, Wetpants and Rubbersheet seek refuge with criminal mastermind and depraved homosexual Dr Pink, who spends his days pining for his youth from the comfort of his luxurious bathtub. In the meantime, spectacularly incompetent police detective Stinky Harry closes in. As the plot thickens and the tension boils, Wetpants and Rubbersheet are called upon to perform a daring robbery in order to repay Dr Pink’s debt to loan shark Bum Terry, but when things go wrong, it sets all concerned on course for the most spectacular supermarket trolley chase ever filmed.
The Institute, 2001, 16mm, b/w, 8 mins
Lowly bureaucrat Mr Hepple is called in by his overbearing boss to investigate a breakdown in procedure at The Institute. There, answers from deputy director Dr Bartholomew Humble-Pie Smythe Crapster III are less than forthcoming, and The Institute’s illustrious head, Dr Nutcase, remains mysteriously illusive (despite the best efforts of his beautiful wife to coax him out of his laboratory). Can Mr Hepple get to the bottom of things whilst keeping his sanity intact? A Kafkaesque nightmare-comedy with cinematography inspired by footage of the infamous Milgram Experiment.
